Two Teslas at home?

Ask about compatible Wall Connectors sharing available charging power. Gen 3 Group Power Management supports up to six compatible units. Sharing power does not mean every car receives maximum output at the same time.

We assess the circuit, wiring and vehicle needs before recommending a configuration. Additional chargers and equipment are quoted separately.

Charging for Model S, Model 3, Model X, Model Y and Cybertruck is planned around the vehicle’s actual capability. Tell us about older or imported vehicles so we can confirm compatibility.

Capacity first. Upgrade only when needed.

Three options for Tesla charging on a 100A service.

A 100A service does not automatically mean you need a 200A upgrade. The right solution depends on your home’s electrical load, equipment compatibility and charging needs.

01 /

A right-sized charging circuit

Your Wall Connector may be set up on a circuit sized to the capacity available at your home. We consider your Tesla and daily driving needs before recommending charging output.

02 /

Automatic load management

Where suitable, compatible load-management equipment can adjust or pause charging as household demand changes. Any additional hardware and installation cost are explained in your quote.

03 /

A service upgrade when required

If the assessment shows your needs cannot be met with an appropriate circuit or load management, we’ll explain the required upgrade and quote it separately.

How can charging work with a 100A service?

We assess the existing electrical load and your driving needs. A lower configured charging output may be sufficient. Where suitable, additional compatible load-management equipment can adjust or pause charging as household demand changes. A service upgrade is recommended when the assessment shows it is needed.

Tesla’s Dynamic Power Management uses an additional approved meter for a single compatible Gen 3 Wall Connector. Group Power Management shares charging power between compatible Gen 3 units. These are different features; we confirm the appropriate equipment and configuration for your home.

Suitability is confirmed after an electrical assessment. A 100A installation without a service upgrade is not guaranteed.

Clear scope. Personal quote.

How much does Tesla charger installation cost?

Most home installations cost $800–$1,200, including permit, electrical materials and labour. The Tesla Wall Connector unit is not included. Your final quote depends on the cable route, charger location, available electrical capacity and any additional work. We confirm the scope and price before work begins.

Your installation questions, answered.

Should I install a NEMA 14-50 outlet or a Tesla Wall Connector?

A Tesla Mobile Connector with the appropriate adapter can use a suitable, assessed NEMA 14-50 outlet. A Wall Connector is hardwired and provides its own configuration, connectivity and power-management features. We compare your vehicle’s charging capability, existing equipment and electrical capacity before recommending an option. Wall Connector is not automatically faster for every Tesla model.

Can you install an older Gen 2 Wall Connector?

Tell us the generation or part number of the unit you own. Older Wall Connectors have different wiring, configuration and power-sharing requirements. We confirm compatibility and the installation scope before quoting. Gen 3 specifications on this page do not describe every older model.

Are rebates available for home charger installation?

As of October 15, 2026, we have not identified a generally available Ontario-wide rebate for a standard single-family home Wall Connector installation. Eligibility and offers can change; check your utility and municipality before purchasing.

Toronto’s Home Energy Loan Program can finance eligible EV charging improvements; this is a loan, not a rebate. Alectra’s SmartCharge pilot has specific participation conditions and currently waitlists new applications; it is not a general rebate for an independently purchased Tesla installation. No rebate is deducted from our advertised installation price.

Alectra SmartCharge eligibility ↗

How long does installation take, and will my power be off?

Typical installations take 3–6 hours. Power is typically interrupted for 15–30 minutes during cable connection. We confirm the planned interruption before work begins; additional electrical work can change the schedule.

How quickly can you assess my installation?

We can usually complete a remote assessment within a few hours once all required information is provided. If a visit is needed, on-site assessments are usually available within 1–2 business days. We confirm your installation date after reviewing the scope and scheduling.

Is Wall Connector commissioning and Tesla app setup included?

Yes. We commission the Wall Connector, configure it for the installed circuit and help with registration and Tesla app setup. Have your Tesla account and home Wi-Fi details available at the installation. You enter your own account password.

Do you install Tesla Wall Connectors?

Yes. ON Energy is a Tesla Certified Installer. We plan the installation around your Wall Connector, vehicle and available electrical capacity.

What warranty comes with the installation?

ON Energy provides a 3-year warranty on materials and workmanship. The charger manufacturer’s warranty is separate; ask us about coverage for your selected equipment.

How much will my installation cost?

Most home installations are $800–$1,200, including permit, electrical materials and labour. The Tesla Wall Connector unit costs extra. Cable distance, available panel capacity, mounting location and any additional work affect the final quote. We confirm the scope and price after assessment.

Can I install a Tesla charger on a 100A service?

Possibly. We assess your electrical load and charging needs first. A right-sized circuit or compatible automatic load management may allow charging without upgrading to 200A. Some homes still require a service upgrade; we confirm the suitable options after assessment.

Can you install a charger I already own?

Yes. Tell us the charger make and model when we follow up so we can check the equipment and quote installation only.

Can the charger be installed outdoors?

We can assess an outdoor installation. The charger, mounting location and electrical work must be suitable for the environment.

What happens after I request a quote?

ON Energy will contact you about your vehicle, charger location and electrical panel. Panel and parking-area photos can help us assess the job. We then confirm the scope, price and scheduling with you.
